Virtualization is driving a significant portion of the interoperability work being done in the technical collaboration between Microsoft and Novell. Microsoft and Novell technical experts are architecting and testing new virtualization scenarios to jointly develop the most compelling virtualization offering in the market for Linux and Windows and developing the tools and infrastructure necessary to manage and secure these heterogeneous environments.
This session looks at several areas of the virtualization development and testing effort at Microsoft and Novell including functionality, performance, manageability and security in virtual environments. It looks at the architecture of key products that support virtualization, explains the challenges introduced by heterogeneous environments, the solutions we developed to address those challenges and the results we have been able to produce.
