S7:  Network Introspection with Open Source Tools
Thursday, August 7, 2008, 10:15 am - 11:15 am

Speaker:
Brad Lhotsky, Security Administrator, National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Information Security is a hot field these days. However, most Security Policies deal with the world from the perspective of high school physics class: no friction and zero air resistance. This presentation intends to demonstrate how to leverage a variety of open source projects to gain a better understanding of your network. Leveraging this understanding, it's possible to attach security policies to networks that actually increase productivity and limit wasted time and money.

Persons with sensitivity to Mockery of Corporate Policies should consult their physician prior to attending.
