Trac is a web based project management tool that provides an integrated approach to the software development process. Combining version control, documentation and ticketing in a way that doesn't impose on your development team's established processes. Trac's mark up language allows seamless linking between trouble tickets, wiki documentation and change sets.
The talk will cover real world use of this flexible tool and a number of the principles covered can be applied to other similar project management tools. Making the leap beyond a simple version control tool into an integrated solution such as Trac soon adds considerable value to even the smallest development teams and projects. Moving beyond pure development, learn how Trac can provide a framework for process and work flow management for operational teams. We can also leverage version control for more than software development, for example to provide a document management solution.
