Q+D3:  Code Scavenging: How to Find and Reuse Tasty Bite-Sized Chunks of Code
Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Speaker:
Matt Graney, VP of Product Management, Krugle.

Code scavenging is not something that is blessed by many researchers in computer science. Yet the "borrowing" of code snippets and small modules is a time-honored tradition practiced by every programmer who faces real deadlines. Few developers really make effective use of this lightweight yet powerful technique, which can dramatically reduce development time.

This talk will explain what it takes to be a good vulture - knowing both where to look and how to look, so you quickly find the good stuff and avoid the ugly, often buggy code written by others (present company excluded).
