Speaker: Eric Thomas, Strategic Marketing Manager, Open Source, Texas Instruments.
Open standards for embedded multimedia devices have been evolving to enable the low-power, high-performance hardware accelerators that are prevalent on System-on-Chip (SoC) processors. These standards are the backbone for enabling a rich user experience on a wide variety of personal multimedia and mobile devices. With increased availability of open hardware platforms and supporting Linux software from companies including Texas Instruments, many of these SoC features are becoming accessible to developers. In this session, Texas Instruments will take a look of some of the development resources that are available to those who can innovate, integrate, and improve the next generation of mobile and multimedia device software.
