Motorola started the Eclipse "Tools for Mobile Linux" project in Summer 2007. Since then, we have developed a first version of a general embedded Linux Development, Deploy and Run environment.
The goal is to enable "casual" developers to create sophisticated mobile Linux applications. We assume our target audience is creating applications for other mobile OS'es (symbian, Windows Mobile) and not Linux savy.
TmL and Eclipse help to give developers a user-friendly, easy to use development environment
